COLLECTIVE
The "mon de la festa" is the name that receives the group of collectives that work for the Magdalena Parties and that is composed of multiple organizations. Integrated by passionate of the parties of Castelló, these groups are always present at the major celebration of the capital of La Plana. Gaiatas and collas are the greatest exponents of these festivities. Historical and representative groups such as the Germandat dels Cavallers de la Conquesta or the Moros d'Alqueria are important too. Below there are all the festive groups that are part, in one way or another, of the celebration of the Magdalena, which in its 2020 edition is led by a special Commission for the 75th anniversary of the holidays. This Comission have representation of various of the linked entities.

GAIATAS
They are the maximum representatives of the Magdalena Parties; not only the monuments of light, but also the commissions that make possible their existence and the sectors to they belong. In 1945, the first twelve gaiatas were created, while the other seven were set up in the mid-1980s. Despite various attempts, the creation of a gaiata number 20 hasn't yet been possible.
The number that accompanies each gaiata is related to its creation date and, therefore, has no connection with the area in which it is located. During the week of Magdalena each gaiata is exhibited in a representative place of its sector in which many activities are celebrated. Below, you can see all the gaiatas and the official name of their sector.

COLLAS
Groups of people who share their passion for parties and serve as a meeting point for friends and family. In 1999 there were 18 collas, a number that has raised to exceed two hundred today.

ASOCIACIÓN DE FESTES DE CARRER
Group whose main objective is to bring together all the cultural associations that celebrate parties throughout the year in the main streets and neighborhoods of the city of Castelló.
